Isla Mujeres

There is an island across from our resort called Isla Mujeres and the ferry dock was right by our resort, so on Sunday we got on the ferry and rode over to the island.  It was about a 40 minute ferry ride and while we were walking on the dock to board the ferry we saw a barracuda in the water.  It was kind of freaky thinking we weren't swimming that far away from were we saw it.  The water was so gorgeous and blue you could see all kinds of fish.  When we got on the island we rented two golf carts and spent the day driving all around the island.  All you saw was golf carts and scooters and a few cars here and there.  The beaches were pretty, but you also saw a lot of trash and poor circumstances.  It's kind of sad to see how so many people live and we have such a good life.  We also saw iguana's every where.  We walked down the main strip and stopped in several stores to find all the things the people sale.  There is everything from jewelry to hats, to sunglasses to clothing and much more.  It was a fun, relaxing day and we got back just as the sun was setting around 8 o'clock..

Such beautiful water!

It was a little windy up on the cliffside.
