The Best Part of Christmas

The best part of Christmas for our family was being able to talk to Dustin on the phone. Missionaries can only call home twice a year - on Christmas and Mother's Day. It was so good to hear his voice and hear how he is loving his mission. He definitely is not the boy we sent out 8 months ago. Now he is a man and a very changed one at that. He started his mission in the heart of Philidelphia and was there for about 2 1/2 months and the rest of the 6 months has been serving in Scranton. He is being transfered next week and he thinks to Delaware on the edge of Pennsylvania because that is part of his mission also. Here are a few pictures of him in the past 8 months.

Dustin and his mission companion

He LOVES philly cheesesteaks!

He looks like Jayson in the 2nd photo, I think....I usually think he looks like Shane. :)
Glad you go tot talk to him! Delaware is less populated than Philly. We lived on the border of DE and Philly....it is beautiful out there.

I was just talking about Dustin to my parents the other day because he's really close to us and he'll even be closer if he moves to the Delaware border, so I wanted to go see him and my mom was like they really don't like any family to do that even if it's distant relatives:( He looks like he is enjoying his mission alot, it's so wonderful to know he is doing well!
