Teisha and Tianna's birthday!

This week was a big week for Teisha and Tianna! They left Thursday morning at 5:30 for the TREK with our stake. They spent all of Thursday, Friday, and over half of Saturday (their birthday) walking 22 miles in pioneer dresses and pushing handcarts full of supplies.  They loved trek except for the rattlesnake in a tent in Teisha's camp. She is deathly afraid of snakes and spent hours standing on her bucket crying. They finally coaxed her off. The girls got home late Saturday just in time to shower and clean all their stuff up and get ready to go out for dinner. We went to Pizza Factory last Saturday for Teisha and Olive Garden last night for Tianna. It is funny how we always pick the same places every year to eat. After dinner we came home for cake and they had a bunch of their friends over.  We had a couple of boys too, but they didn't make it into the pictures. This was a big birthday year for both girls. Teisha turned 18 and finally got a cell phone. No one could believe it was her first! Especially the people that work at Verizon. She loves her new phone and Tianna is 16! She is so excited to go on her 1st date Monday night and she is going to get her drivers license and hopefully has a car by the end of the summer! My girls are so grown up! It makes me sad and yet very proud that they are so beautiful inside and out! I couldn't ask for better girls!!!!

The stories you tell of you and your girls make me think of what it will be like when my girls get bigger. I sure hope they are as sweet as yours. And way to go on holding out on the cell phone. I hate that little elementary kids are walking around with them and taking them to others' homes. It is such a distraction from fun and what's important.

I thought my daughter Katie was the only girl who got a phone when she turned 18. We are so much alike. Katie loves her phone also, she thanks me now for giving her the opportunity to mature before giving her a phone. It was a huge blessing not having a teenager obsessed with the phone in our home. Saved so many conflicts!

THIS IS WHERE OUR STORY BEGINS
