Dole Pineapple Plantation

We went to the Dole Pineapple Plantation.  We walked through the maze and listened to some of the history.  Of course, we had fresh pineapple and we bought two pineapples.  We also bought a slicer and were taught how to correctly cut a pineapple.  There were some cool shops with jewelry, pearls in shells, and lots of good treats made with things from the island.  My favorite is the coconut syrup and anything with macadamia nuts and of course, the pineapple.  There is nothing like fresh pineapple from the island.

chickens wandering on the island.
