We have been wanting to get a new car for a few months and since we paid ours off in July we figured we would start looking. Just as we were leaving St George for the Vegas airport headed to Hawaii, Jayson said, Did you see that car?" I had seen it and really liked the way it looked but neither of us knew what kind. Jayson sped up so we could all check it out and we couldn't believe it when we realized it was a Kia. I couldn't stop thinking about the Kia, so that was my first choice to test drive. We spent a few Saturdays out test driving different brands of cars. I really wanted something sporty, fast, decent gas mileage, and heated and cooled seats. Jayson wanted fast and it had to look good. One of the guys he works with mentioned a VW Passat because they get great gas mileage. We test drove it and I wasn't that impressed because it seemed like something old people would drive, but Jayson said if they put better looking wheels on it that it would look much better. I was just about to commit to the Passat, but still wasn't totally sold. Fortunately, we were right next to the Kia lot and I couldn't stop thinking about the Optima I had driven. I wanted to test drive it again and I was in love. It had everything and more on the inside and outside that I wanted, plus it was fast and the price was great for the package. I told Jayson that's what I wanted and then it was the hard decision of picking a color. I went from Titanium, to white, to black. Jayson always loves black and I like the way they look, I just hate trying to keep black clean. I figured at least this was a car and not a big suburban like my last black vehicle, so I could handle keeping it clean. Our kids were all so excited and Dustin and Kalister came right to the dealership to check it out. The first thing Dust and Kalister wanted to do was race. Kalister has a little 2 seater sports car. Kalister and Dustin thought her car was so hot and they were going to just leave us in the dust, so we drove out to the new airport road to give our new car a test run. Kalister drove her car the first time and she started out a little ahead and then Jayson left her. We pulled over and this time Dust wanted to drive her car. We pulled up next to each other and said go. This time Jayson had our car rapped up. It wasn't long and he had left them so far back there and the Kia was at 145mph and still climbing. We were both pumped! What a rush! I love my new car! Thanks babe!
