Today was dad's funeral and what a wonderful tribute to him and his life. He had so many friends and was so involved in the community with many sports from little kids, to high school, and even adult programs. He was still very active. We have had so many people come to the house to give their condolences and to leave food. It is pretty amazing when you live in a small community the out pore of love that people show. Dad was born in Lovell and lived there all his 59 years except for his 4 in the military. So he knew everyone. Each of us kids wrote him a letter expressing our love and appreciation and Jayson read those at the funeral. Shane did a wonderful job with his life history and there was a military salute at the cemetery and mom was given a flag. I sure am going to miss my fun, loving dad. He was always quite a character and the life of the party. Things won't be the same when we get together and I am going to miss his phone calls and texts. I think I will miss him walking in my house after the long drive and saying, "The Grizswolds are here".
