A lot of people think Valentines is a waste of a holiday and that they don't need to do anything different than an other day to show they love someone. For me, Valentines is a day to remind me that I need to show love and appreciation for Jayson. Some years I have cooked lobster and king crab and had a nice dinner at home and other years I don't do a whole lot. This year I planned a whole weekend of time together and he has been telling me everyday how much he loved our weekend and just the break from everyday life. He used to be so good when we dated at surprising me and having picnics and romantic dinners under the stars. Now days he isn't so good at that anymore, so I decided I would surprise him. I asked him if he could take Friday off of work (something he never does) and he agreed. He had to go to work super early and stay late all week to make it happen, but he did it. I started the weekend with taking him for a couples massage on Thursday night. I told him we had plans at 7:30, but he had no idea what. I drove us over to the massage place and it happened to be right next door to my Hot Yoga, so I made him think we were going to yoga. He wasn't too impressed, but then when he realized it was massage, he was so relieved. We had an 80 minute massage and it was amazing. Friday morning we got up and I fixed a big breakfast and we got ready and headed out to the parade of homes. It was the first day, so it wasn't too crazy yet. We both love the parade of homes, so it's always a fun tradition during Valentine's. For lunch we went to the Crepery. We had never been there and it was sooo good. We went and saw 14 houses and then decided we were tired so we went to Costco to get some chocolate covered Strawberries. We ate them all, watched some tv and at 8:15 I had dinner reservations for Cliffside. We have never eaten there either. We sat out on the patio, up on the hillside over looking St George. It was a beautiful night and dinner was amazing. I know why that place is always packed and you must have a reservation. Saturday morning we went to look at homes again and saw 11. We were worn out a little early, so we went and tried another place we haven't eaten called Marv's. It is a burger place and we both ate too much and felt gross. That night Tianna and Eric came to stay because they had family at their house all weekend. We had fun talking, laughing, and watching tv. After church Sunday morning I fixed a big brunch for all of us and then Tianna and Eric went to look at homes and we laid down for a nap. I always fix a big sunday dinner, so that was nothing new, but I bought everyone their favorite treat, so I put one on each plate before dinner. Dustin also came home. Sales aren't going well in California, so he is back for a while and living with us. He hasn't lived with us in years. It's nice to have him here. I wish I would have gotten more pictures, but all I got was a dinner plate. What a great weekend. I'm ready for another one!
