The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of business trying to help my father and mother in-law get settled. They lived with us for two weeks while they waited to close on their home. It was also the end of the school year for Jayden. I was up every morning cooking everyone a big breakfast and getting everyone off in a different direction. I spent a lot of time taking my in-laws around town to get their utilities set up, social security info changed, and a doctor visit for my mother in-law. I've spent several days at their house emptying boxes. The kitchen took 4 full days of unpacking box after box of food and dishes. I ended up throwing 4 big garbage cans of food away that was 6 to 10 years old. It's hard when you are older to have a food storage and rotate it because they don't cook much anymore and it is just the two of them. There is still so much to do, but I need a break. I'm still struggling with my legs and hips hurting and being on my feet all day for days hasn't helped. Jayson and I spent most of Memorial day at their house and that evening we had Tianna and Eric over for a BBQ. I will be glad when things settle down. I go over and bathe my mother in-law twice a week and it's definitely going to take some time getting used to having them here. We have been almost 11 years without any family near by. Helping Teisha and Ryan and now my in-laws has reminded me that I don't want to move anytime soon.
