Trip Up North

My brother Patrick texted me last week and asked if I was busy on Tuesday and Wednesday.  I had nail clients, but when he told me that his wife Kyle was taking a micro blading class in Pleasant Grove, UT and needed someone to watch their 16 month old from 5-midnight, I wasn't going to pass that up.  I love little kids and don't get a chance to see my nieces and nephews as much as I would like to.  I made a few changes in my schedule and drove up to Provo on Tuesday afternoon.  I had such a good time just hanging out with my sister in-law Kyle and playing with Michael.  I took him for drives both nights and on long walks.  I even took him to get some Mac and Cheese for dinner.  It was a nice little get away.  They even got me my own hotel room, so I was able to relax.  It is so beautiful up north and I love visiting up there.  I went to college in Provo for a year, but would have loved actually living there. I lived in Salt Lake and commuted everyday.  I saw all the college kids at the pool and playing sand volleyball at 11 o'clock at night.  It made me think back to college.  I wish I would have made different and better choices, so that I could have experienced the college life more, but I am thankful for the year I had.  I wish Jayson and I would have lived in Provo for a few years while we were first married and gone to school.  I'm so thankful my kids are going to school.  I had a fun few days, but it is always nice to get home.  I love where I live.
I took this cutie to dinner.

Michael is a momma's boy!

No place like home.  I love the blue skies and the
red rock and dirt.

Almost home.

It felt like I was gone forever.  Jayson and
I aren't apart much, so we had to go out
for sushi when I got home.

Sure going to miss this busy little guy.
