Our Last Day In Tahiti

We weren't ready to go home.  Our last day in Tahiti was really long.  We had to check out by 11 a.m. and our plane didn't leave until 11 p.m.  We met some really nice people from New Zealand and visited with them on the ferry ride back to the main island.  I ended up getting sick because we were inside the ferry.  I have such horrible motion sickness and can get sick so easily.  I'm usually super cautious, but I didn't want to be rude.  I ended up running out on the deck and trying not to throw up the last 10 minutes of the ferry ride.  When we got to the airport we checked our luggage into a storage place and took a taxi down town.  We couldn't wait to find a good steak and salad.  We walked around a little, but it was pouring rain and the main island was so busy with lots of traffic and not as friendly and safe as Moorea.  We decided to go back to the airport and our taxi driver ended up being an LDS lady that didn't speak a lot of English, but she was super friendly and so excited that we were LDS.  She had a Book Of Mormon on her dash so we asked her what it was and she said it was her religion.  She couldn't believe we were LDS too.  We asked her if she could drive us to see the temple.  When we got there it was closed for maintenance, but it was beautiful.  Very small, but the grounds were gorgeous.  We felt bad because out taxi driver ended up getting chewed out by a client for being late to pick her up.  She was so excited to take us to see the temple, she forgot she had someone else to pick up.  We ended up sitting at the airport from 3 until 10:30.  It was a long day with a red eye flight back to Los Angeles.  I didn't sleep well on the way home, so by the time we got to L.A. and hurried to catch our flight to Las Vegas, I was exhausted.  When we got to Vegas we were so hungry so we went to one of our all time favorite places, Famous Daves.  We love BBQ food.  We ended up getting home around 7 p.m. and unpacked and could't wait to get in our bed and sleep.  WHAT AN AMAZING TRIP AND ONE I WILL NEVER FORGET.  I think about it everyday and wish I could go back.  I could easily live there.
Lots of good shopping and places
to eat on the main island.  They even
have a McDonald's.  Moorea
didn't have much for shopping or eating.

Poor Jayson got a horrible sunburn with
a huge blister full of puss in the center
of his chest.  He has such fair skin
and didn't put any sunscreen on because
he was under an umbrella.  We were so
close to the equator and he got fried.  I
usually don't burn because I have olive skin,
but I did burn a little in some delicate areas.
