The Simple Things

It's amazing that such simple things can bring such joy and happiness.  My kids and Jayson have always loved rainbow chip cake mix with the frosting in a can.  Even my son in-law Ryan thinks it's the best.  A couple of years ago general mills took it off the market and we have looked forever for it.  I even tried to see if I could order it.  A couple of weeks ago a friend from Wyoming posted that he was in heaven because it was back on the shelves.  I was so excited that I googled it and found out a guy got 70,000 signatures on a petition to bring it back so general mills did.  How cool is that?  I would never think to do that for frosting.  Since then I have been all over this town to every single store for weeks looking and finally Albertson's had some on Saturday.  Guess what we had for dessert Sunday night?  Everyone was so happy.  It's made me think that we have so many simple pleasures in life that we take for granted everyday.  Just living in a place I love is such a joy to me and something I take for granted a lot.  Having a husband that loves me and 4 amazing kids!  I'm going to try to think about simple things more and appreciate them.
